This award-winning brew-on premise first opened in 1991. In September of 2007, Bert & Val Moritz purchased the company and Coastal continues to evolve with a vast selection of red and white wines, dessert wines, sparkling wines, wine coolers, ciders and beer.

In the 2007 International Amateur Wine Competition, hosted by WineMaker Magazine, premium quality wines by Winexpert captured 227 medals.  Coastal Winemakers has  exclusivity in this area to these exceptional reds, whites, dessert and aperitif selections.  Quality, variety, and being voted “Best of the Peninsula” for the 8th year in a row have set Coastal apart.

What would the public be surprised to learn about Coastal?

As you enter, you will be surrounded by an extraordinary selection of home wine-making supplies and unique giftware.  That’s only the tip of the iceberg!  Coastal covers 6,000 square feet which includes an upstairs Wine Rack Room.   There is plenty of room for the 4 large walk-in coolers, each providing different temperatures for the various stages of processing to ensure the most optimum development of your wines.  A designated “minus cooler” and four counter-pressure bottle fillers are for award winning ciders (e.g. Crossbow), coolers (e.g. Vinoka Ice) and our famous Cranberry Champagne   “We have the ability and the space to provide consistent control” promises Bert.
