This award-winning brew-on premise first opened in 1991. In the fall of 2007, Lloyd and Nel Carmichael handed over the reins to longtime friends Bert and Val Moritz.  Coastal continues to evolve with a selection of wines, dessert wines, sparkling wines, wine coolers, ciders and beer.  A knowledgeable staff of eight, which includes Lloyd and Nel, work together as a team.

What would the public be surprised to learn about Coastal?

As you enter, you will be surrounded by an extraordinary selection of home wine-making supplies and unique giftware.  That’s only the tip of the iceberg!  Coastal covers 6,000 square feet which includes an upstairs Wine Rack Room.   There is plenty of room for the 4 large walk-in coolers, each providing different temperatures for the various stages of processing to ensure the most optimum development of your wines.  A designated “minus cooler” and four counter-pressure bottle fillers are for award winning ciders (e.g. Crossbow), coolers (e.g. Vinoka Ice) and our famous Cranberry Champagne   “We have the ability and the space to provide consistent control” promises Bert.
